Key Responsibilities: CNC Grinding and EDM Operations

• Set up, operate and monitor CNC grinding and EDM machines in line with production specifications and safety standards.

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions to ensure accurate machining and adherence to tolerances.

• Program, edit and optimise CNC/EDM programs where required, and load appropriate tooling and fixtures.

• Perform regular machine checks, fault finding and basic preventative maintenance to maintain machine availability.

• Conduct in-process and final quality checks using measuring equipment and review CMM reports where applicable.

• Maintain precise documentation for production runs, job cards and completed parts.

• Work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining challenges and implement corrective actions.

• Handle and move materials safely, including loading and unloading raw materials and finished components.

• Adhere to site safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE and contribute to a safe working environment for all.

• Meet production targets and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience operating CNC grinding equipment and/or EDM machines preferred.

• Familiarity with CNC controls,Grinders, EDM processes and CMM inspection is an advantage.

• Relevant vocational, technical or apprenticeship background is beneficial.

• Experience conducting routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machinery.

• Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to workplace challenges.

• Recognised qualifications in machining or NDT methods are advantageous but not essential.
